White House Snitches šØ
They're calling out 'media offenders' and I'm lowkey here for it
So, the White House just launched a tracker to keep tabs on āmedia offendersā (yes, really) and Iām dead š. They really said āhold my coffeeā and went ahead with this, and honestly, itās giving me main character energy.
The Tea ā
The tracker is supposed to keep track of all the times the media āmisbehavesā (their words, not mine), and Iām not sure if this is a power move or a cry for help. Like, are they trying to distract us from something?
(Iām looking at you, rent-free inhabitants of the White House).
Apparently, the tracker will be updated regularly, and itāll include all sorts of āoffensesā, from āfake newsā to ābiasā (sus much? ). And letās be real, this is lowkey a whole thing, and Iām not okay.
I mean, who needs fact-checking when you can just call out the media for being āmeanā?
Why This Matters (Or Doesnāt) š
So, why is this a thing? Is the White House trying to gaslight us into thinking the media is the real enemy? Or are they just trying to stir up some drama?
(I mean, itās working, because here I am, writing about it). The people who actually know things are saying this is a classic case of āprojectionā (aka, theyāre doing what theyāre accusing others of doing).
But, like, whatās the point of all this? Are they trying to intimidate the media into being more⦠compliant?
Newsflash: thatās not how journalism works, and itās giving me delulu vibes. The mediaās job is to hold those in power accountable, not to be their PR team.
The Vibe Check š
Anyway, Iām gonna go ahead and predict that this tracker is gonna backfire (hard). Like, whatās next? A ācitizenā tracker to keep tabs on us?
(Touch grass, please). Itās a valid concern, and Iām not the only one who thinks so. The internet is already having a field day with this, and Iām here for the memes.
So, what do you think? Is this a genius move or a basedless attempt to control the narrative? Let me know in the comments (just kidding, there are no comments, but like, tweet at me or something).
