So, you know how we’ve all been lowkey obsessed with the IT franchise and Pennywise, the OG creepy clown?

Well, HBO’s IT: Welcome to Derry just dropped some major tea on his origin story, and I am HERE. FOR. IT.

It turns out, Pennywise is connected to Bob Gray, Ingrid Kersh’s father, and I’m not even kidding, it’s a whole thing.

I mean, we’ve always known Pennywise was sus, but this new info takes it to a whole other level.

They really said ‘hold my coffee’ and decided to dive into the backstory of the most terrifying clown in history.

Why This Matters (Or Doesn’t) 👀

This is lowkey a whole thing, and I’m not okay, because it changes everything we thought we knew about Pennywise.

The people who actually know things are saying this new origin story is a game-changer, and I’m inclined to agree.

I mean, who wouldn’t want to know more about the history of a supernatural, child-eating clown?

It’s like, the more you know, the more you realize how delulu you were for thinking you understood Pennywise.

All I can say is, HBO’s IT: Welcome to Derry is about to be the talk of the town, and I’m predicting a major uptick in Pennywise cosplay (please don’t, though, that’s just asking for trouble).

The implications are huge, and I’m not sure if I’m ready for this level of Pennywise exposure, but I’m willing to touch grass and see where this new story takes us.
