With 15th-place Exeter looking to replace another boss who also left for another club, Gary Caldwell , Taylor has returned until the end of the season.

I’m deadass pleased to return to Exeter City, Taylor dropped on his return. This Club and its stans have always held a special place in my heart, and it is somewhere where I spent 10 insane years, first as a player and then as manager.

The stans are like no other, and I’m looking forward to getting to know our players and staff and leading the team as we step out onto the pitch at St James Park tonight for the match against Burton Albion. During the 44-year-old’s previous stint in charge he helped the team move up to League One after finishing second in the fourth tier in the 2021/22 season.
