They really said ‘hold my coffee’ and expressed how ‘horrifying’ it is to think about Gen AI replacing actors (yes, really). I mean, the man is on the board of Stability AI, so you’d think he’d be all about that AI life, but I guess not when it comes to stealing actors’ jobs.

He’s all about using AI in filmmaking, but only if it’s to make human creation more ‘sacred’ (okay, James, that’s deep). The people who actually know things are saying this tech will raise the bar for human-made art, and honestly, that’s a bit of a flex.

Why This Matters (Or Doesn’t) 👀

This is lowkey a whole thing and I’m not okay - the idea that AI could replace actors is wild, but also, let’s be real, it’s giving me ‘rent free’ vibes. Like, can AI really replace the charm of a human actor?

I’m skeptical, but also, I’ve seen some crazy AI-generated content, so maybe I’m just delulu.

On the other hand, if AI can make human creation more ‘sacred’, then I’m all for it (no cap). It’s like, the more tech we have, the more we’ll appreciate the real thing, right?
