What’s Happening
Okay so The first of consecutive weekends of golf at Augusta National concludes with the seventh annual ANWA 2026 ANWA TV schedule, times, format, where to watch Augusta National Women’s Amateur coverage The first of consecutive weekends of golf at Augusta National concludes with the seventh annual ANWA By Patrick McDonald Apr 4, 2026 at 8:00 am ET • 2 min read The 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur takes center stage on Saturday as 32 of the finest amateur golfers in the world compete in final-round action at Augusta National Golf Club.
Preceding the Masters since 2019, the ANWA has quickly become one of the top prizes among women amateur golfers. The margin of victory has been tight since the event began. (yes, really)
Ever since Jennifer Kupcho clutched the inaugural tournament by a handful of shots, each subsequent ANWA has been decided by either a single shot in regulation or a playoff.
The Details
Rose Zhang’s memorable performance in 2023 was the last time extra holes were needed in the tournament. But, to play in the final round at Augusta National on Saturday, golfers needed to navigate a cut at the 36-hole mark following two rounds at Champions Retreat Golf Club.
The field of 72, which included 48 of the top 50 in the women’s World Golf Amateur Rankings, has been reduced 50%. Asterisk Talley enters the final 18 holes holding the top spot on the leaderboard at 11 under, one stroke clear of the field with Meja Örtengren and Maria Jose Marin firmly in striking distance.
Why This Matters
Talley, who finished runner-up last year, is clearly focused on getting the job done this time around. A total of 23 different countries and territories were represented in the field; Japan led the international contingent with five players. Of the original 72 players that made up the field, nearly half (35) were debutants with 37 playing in the event at least a second time.
This is the kind of move that can define a season.
